Update?

[edit]

Train services had been due to start on 14 December 2008... An article in Corby's local newspaper stated that the service would be starting on 23 February 2009.

Any updates, almost 9 years on? Valetude (talk) 19:10, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Valetude - I've shortened it and put in a "see also" for the article on the station, which contains most of the other details anyway. The station article is out of date and needs work, but I'll come back to that later. Neiltonks (talk) 12:52, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Borough split

[edit]

Per WP:UKDISTRICTS this article should be split to Borough of Corby (see Draft:Borough of Corby) and the standard infobox UK place used like Kettering. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:43, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Section:Decline of the Steel Industry

[edit]

I suggest a slight re-write for the sentence "In May 1979, the New Conservative Governments Minister, Sir Keith Joseph announced the closure of Corby Steelworks." to

In May 1979, after the election of a new Conservative Government, Sir Keith Joseph, the Secretary of State for Industry, announced the closure of Corby Steelworks.

Time passes and the change in government and the names and titles of people in the cabinet disappear from reader's minds.--Oldontarian (talk) 15:26, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
