The grammar in the work section is pretty bad. It's a little hard to understand what is meant. Someone should set about cleaning it up jordan 15:01, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Needs rewrite

[edit]

Added some on the "rediscovery" of Hölderlin in the 20th century, his influence and on modern editions. The article as it stood really gave no idea why Hölderlin is one of the most revered figures of German poetry, and one of its most intensely discussed classics.Strausszek (talk) 23:44, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Musical settings

[edit]

There has been contention in recent edits about additions of musical settings, as to how to establish that a composition after a text by Hölderlin is notable and worth mentioning on this page. It has been proposed that notability is defined by the fact that the work in question has its own Wikipedia page (as opposed to only its composer). This would entail removing a fair amount of content. Is there a consensus on this topic that could result in a coherent set of content? Musiktheaterpedia (talk) 16:15, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
