Q: Imran is distinct from Amram, should not redirect there.

Should be merged into Joachim (Mary's father according to Christian tradition) or Virgin Mary#Mary in the Qur'an. Eluchil404 04:11, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

what controversy?

[edit]

Jesus was a descendant of the tribe of Judah, not Levi, and there is no suggestion that Jesus was from the Levitical tribe. Additionally, these claims are not documented, nor are they cited. Please remove the "controversy" section or source it adequately. 13:40, 20 June 2007 208.3.12.18

Someone has messed up

[edit]

Ok first of all in Islamic tradition, Marym the mother of Isa is of the house of Amram, i.e. she is a of the Aaronite line of Highpriestly families as was her uncle Zakariya and her cousin Yahiyya. So this article exists on a mistaken separation of this Imran from amram. Tut tut.as for user 208.3.12.18, chill out Dude this is the islamic tradition on Marym's ancestry not the protestant biblical exegesis of Luke's Gospel.82.6.29.26 (talk) 00:13, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
