Copy Control

[edit]

(In Australia at least) This album utilises copy control and needs a note at the end of the article denoting the copy control technology, similar to the one at the bottom of the page for To the 5 Boroughs. It also needs to be added to Category:Copy control albums and Category:Musical performers with copy control releases. Thanks. --Jake--07:23, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

OK, added the Copy Control tag. Next time you find somethine that needs doing, just do it yourself. I know that sounded a bit rude but thats not intentional. You can use this: {{copycontrol}} to add the copy control tag in future. It automatically adds it to the category too. Borb 10:37, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can't Stop

[edit]

Someone had Can't Stop listed under the CD tracks. I'm fairly certain that this track is NOT on the CD, due to many retail listings and the Chili Peppers' own on-line store. If someone can prove me wrong, by all means, reverese the edit. It may have been on an international release but the U.S. version does not have Can't Stop on the CD.Jondy 20:26, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And neither does the European version, which one my friends owns. Thanks for the keen eye.—♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 09:34, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excluded Songs

[edit]
"The absence of Get On Top, Around the World, The Zephyr Song and Can't Stop are the most surprising due to their worldwide recognition and the part the latter two had to play in the success of the album By the Way. It has recently been revealed that the band was under tension during the By the Way era, and this is likely why the song has been left off along side The Zephyr Song."

Get On Top was never released as a single, and I don't remember it receiving any sort of worldwide recognition. Also, I'm not sure if there's any truth to this, but I heard that Can't Stop wasn't put on because at the time that the tracklisting was decided, it wasn't very high on the charts or they hadn't released it yet. May be worth a look into. Anyways, I thought that this section could use some reworking, I may do it myself but maybe a somewhat more seasoned wikipedia veterano could do so. Excluded Videos

[edit]

I have removed this statement from the article:

"Breaking the Girl may have been left off as the video was the only one to feature Arik Marshall, and the band may have not wanted to imply too many line up changes, which may explain the omission of the rest of the videos without John Frusciante."

as Arik Marshall is also in the If You Have To Ask video, and with that in mind the statement just sounds like guesswork. JedEgan 04:25, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
