Hmm

[edit]

Out of all the Wu-Tang group albums, why is this one the most written about? Why are the beats described? The beats on this album are some of RZA's absolute worst, the hooks are annoying as fuck, and the flows are lazy and half-assed. Not only the worst Wu-Tang album to ever come out, but one of the worst albums I ever heard. I have a hard time believing it's actually a Wu-Tang album at times.--Tainted Drifter 20:13, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're out of your mind papo. This album is a stone cold classic. Put it back on and listen to it more closely. Majik43 05:18, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, I'd like to call the Neutrality of this article into question. Like most articles about the Wu-Tang Clan and Hip Hop in general, it focuses way too much on critical reception. It also shows heavy bias towards the viewpoint that the only good or 'true' Wu-Tang productions or 'exceptional' albums come from RZA and RZA only. It's also clearly biased towards the 'older' or 'traditional' Wu-Tang sound, and constantly tries to force the group's sound into a box. I have a serious problem with this, because it forces the Wu-Tang Clan into stagnation, and encourages them to cash in with a derivative if not dated sound to please the most vocally unyielding and critical members of their fan base.

This article needs to be re-written without constantly going "Well, this track wasn't really very traditionally Wu-Tang, so I'm going to imply that it's bad." Slippery slope, anyone? --Fordo35 20:25, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i wrote this article (i was originally going to do it for the other wu albums but got bored), and i tried to keep it neutral. the only thing i can see that might not be is describing one of these days's beat as "generic". i did not say the non-traditional sounding songs were bad at all; my favorite beats on this album are in the hood and rules, neither of which sound traditionally wu-tang. i also quite like the extremely un-traditional back in the game. no bias was intended. --Jamieli (talk) 17:07, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I feel the True Master beat reflects many of the beats off of Iron Man, which is easily considered to be a Wu stronghold. Jamieli must have not listen to too much Wu beside Forever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.251.229.73 (talk) 11:44, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Last album to feature odb?? I think not!

[edit]

In the absences section it says that the w was the last album to feature ODB..but he was featured on 8 diagrams. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.234.73.129 (talk) 16:12, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
