Welcome!

[edit]

Hi Asamwithasax, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Saxophone article

[edit]

I noticed you had inserted this comment into the Saxophone article:

I am going to skip parts of technique to leave for others. Right now, writing from the technique books I have on hand and m own personal experience, I am going to write Embourchure now and Altissimo tomorrow when I can find my Sigurd Rashear [sic] book.

May I suggest placing such comments in the article's talk page, where they are more readily visible? Also, you had mentioned re-working the "Technique" section and coming back to finish it later. Please remember that the article is still viewable in the meantime. May I suggest that you not work on the article piecemeal? Instead, until you're ready to finsh, leave the rest of the article intact. The references, external links, categories and interwikis had all been omitted. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:44, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

One other thing, when you do come back to this, would you please cite the technique books you mentioned? There is already one for the Larry Teal book. There was a specific request for more references, so any you can add would help. Thank you! -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:48, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Dogs.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Dogs.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
