Wall of Champions

[edit]

The wall at the final chicane is also known as the "Wall of Champions" due to many of them ending their race there. I'll add this tomorrow unless someone objects with a good reason. Counterfit 05:07, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I corrected the coordinates of the circuit. The coordinates given are for the start/finish line, taken from Google Earth.--Ciroa 17:13, 18 September 2006 (UTC)--[reply]

Final Corner

[edit]

Correction possible to the text, MS/JV/DH + Jenson Button (2005) + Tonio Liuzzi (2007) have all hit the wall of champions (located at the exit of the final chicance), Alonso/Rosberg/Montoya hit a different wall in the circuit, at exit of turn 5. I may be incorrect about montoya, but for sure Alonso 2005, Rosberg 2006 hit the exit of turn 5, not the wall of champions.

NASCAR race is now almost confirmed

[edit]

According to Jayski.com the Busch Series date See http://www.jayski.com/busch/busch.htm I know I saw the article on the other source but it doesn't confirm the date ethier as it say Dover track sources and they are known to be unreliable. Sawblade05 08:32, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tonight on Speed TV's Trackside live at Kansas Speedway, they have confirmed that they will be a bush series race at this track. Sawblade05 04:34, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Busch Series schedule has been released today, and it indeed includes a race here on August 4. As such, I'm adding the Busch Series and WikiProject NASCAR templates. - DiegoTehMexican 21:33, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox Image

[edit]

The thumbnail image in the infobox is not displaying for me unless I click through to the actual page it's hosted it. Happens both in Firefox and with Google Chrome. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ThomasAndrewNimmo (talkcontribs) 14:01, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Thumbnailer is having problems with a lot of SVGs. See the Silverton map section of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Formula One. Will (Talk - contribs) 05:59, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We got VERY lucky. It looks like MediaWiki has developed a serious SVG bug. Every SVG out there could be affected. Basically, if the image is rendered too small, it strikes hiding some or all elements. In this case, I only had to enlarge the thumb to 276 pixels to get it to work. If you see other images acting up, play with the image sizes until you see something. You might get a thumb that still fits. Will (Talk - contribs) 06:23, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Circuit Diagram

[edit]

I've never seen any source for the name Pit Hairpin, only Casino Hairpin or simply L'Épingle. In addition, the Pont de la Concorde is the bridge located just before turn 9, not near turn 7 as indicated on the diagram. Can anyone verify and, if necessary, fix these issues? 74.57.177.192 (talk) 22:36, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As it is an image you need to talk to the author -> here. --Falcadore (talk) 11:41, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lap Record

[edit]

The lap record is held by Rubens Barrichello, with a lap of 1:13.622 - having been set during the race weekend of 2004.

Lap records are the fastest laps achieved during races only.

Practice and Qualifying laps do not count as lap records.

If laps outside of the race did count towards lap records, the record holder would be Ralf Schumacher with a lap of 1:12.275, from Qualifying during the weekend of the race in 2004.

I think you misspelled "1:12.205" as "1:12.275" ChangeMyNamePlease (talk) 12:48, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Or it was 2001? ChangeMyNamePlease (talk) 12:48, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
