Czy nie lepiej byłoby usunąć informacje o Polsce jako o kraju, a zamiast tego w to miejsce dać trochę info o czym jest ten portal itp., równocześnie zostawiając link "More about Poland" ? --Ek8 20:37, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

Moim zdaniem niech zostanie, ale mozna stworzyc kolejne okienko z info o portalu.--Witkacy 21:05, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Mozna by bylo tez zrobic okienko z Current events in Poland--Witkacy 22:46, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Moze jako ciekawostke warto np. dodac, ze polskie sluzby militarne jako jedyne posluguja sie Two-fingers salute ;) ?

There is a problem with double edit buttons in the right-hand upper corners of windows. They seem to be browser and skin sensitive. One editor managed to get rid of them at Ukraine portal. I tried here but failed. Maybe someone with experience with these and similar things can do it better. Regards, --Irpen 07:22, August 11, 2005 (UTC)

The Kraków is capital of Poland! No Warszawa!!!

W rozdzielczości 800x600 w tabeli z Featured article zdjęcie orderu Virtuti Militari zasłania słowo Military. Pozdrawiam! Odder

Reorg

I'd like to reorganize this page. The portal isn't very active, so I'd like to scale it down. I want to get rid of all the Main Page-style sections and make it leaner and more functional. Appleseed (Talk) 22:35, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

It would be nice to have somebody do something, so go right ahead. You may want to work on a new version on a subpage first, perhaps?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  23:45, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I just realized my plan for this page is a lot like Portal:Poland/Poland-related Wikipedia notice board. But that page isn't used either. Maybe we can fold it into Portal:Poland, and move the board from the talk page to the main page. Appleseed (Talk) 02:44, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, this Portal is supposed to be for general public, the subportal at PP/PRWNB is supposed to be for us editors.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  03:38, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
I didn't realize WP distinguished between the two populations (i.e. everyone is an editor). Anyway, I didn't want to create a new subpage, so I made the change and reverted myself. See it here. It's not done yet, but you can see where I'm going with it. Appleseed (Talk) 03:46, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Oh no, 99.999% of users are not editors, and they don't care (or simply know) about most of the stuff we do. I strongly suggest we should keep Portal an eye candy portal format, and such a page as you suggested should be a part of Wikiproject (i.e former noticeboard).-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  05:12, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Please a POLISH language!

Mili państwo! Czy możecie stworzyć polską wersję tego artykułu? --81.18.208.242 10:28, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Mapki

Wsadzam swoją ciekawostkę, jeśli łamię zasady, to można usunąć. Paweł ze Szczecina 19:03, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Since nobody is maintaining the portal, by all means, do what you want :) New articles should be added to WP:DYK for mainpage exposure.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  19:10, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

A discussion about most of the Current events subportals has been opened at Miscellany for deletion. You are invited to participate in discussing the fate of these subportals. --TheDJ (talkcontribs) 14:32, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Our Lady of Czestochowa in Voodoo

I added the following subsection to the article on The Black Madonna of Czestochowa. As unbelievable as it may seem its all true. Might be cool for "Did you know", right? In Vodou, it is believed that a common depiction of Erzulie has its roots in copies of the icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, brought to Haiti by Polish soldiers fighting on both sides of the Haitian Revolution from 1802 onwards.[1] In her Petro nation aspect as Erzulie Dantor she is often depicted as a scarred and buxom woman, holding a child protectively in one hand and a knife in the other. She is a warrior and particularly a fierce protector of women and children. In Santeria, this image is referred to as Santa Barbara Africana. --Orestek (talk) 17:57, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
